Esedra (b), parete O, tratto N, zona mediana, particolare: epistilio verde a sinistra dell’avancorpo nello scorcio architettonico, raffigurante un mostro marino (acefalo), forse lavorato a rilievo stando alle ombre, che salta verso sinistra. Il capitello ionico a destra sostiene un fregio a metope con patera, e la cornice a mensole del tetto. Tutti i particolari, il soffitto a travi viste in prospettiva compreso, sono eseguiti con la massima attenzione per le parti in luce e le parti in ombra. 80 N57764

Exedra (b), wall W, section N, median area, detail: green epistyle on the left of the forepart in the foreshortening architectural, depicting a sea monster (headless), perhaps worked in relief standing to the shadows, jumping to the left. The Ionic capital on the right supports a metope frieze with patera, and the cantilevered cornice of the roof. All the details, including the beamed ceiling seen in perspective, are made with the utmost attention to the parts in light and the parts in the shade. 80 N57764
